After a cold sleepless night in a Manchester slum, I met with a ‘promising’ band, on behalf of i-D magazine. This unknown band marched me for miles to The Oasis Market, which has since been demolished. ‘No solo shots,’ ordered the Rabelaisian one, but his brother was kinder.
